Picture time!

Mary at the base of Yosemite Falls.

Overlooking the pool at the base of the fall.

I love this view.

The leaves are turning!!!

Dining Hall roof is being redone!

I love my room.

Taken on the way to the Vermont Competition

So...the weather isn't looking too good. It's cloudy and the chance of rain I heard is above 50 percent. Which means the plans for climbing this weekend just might go down the drain. I thought of the idea of going down to Fresno to climb at my old gym, but we'll see if that changes...it's all up to the weather :)

Weekend in Santa Cruz/LA!

Hanging out at Emily's house before we hit the HUGE waves.

The water was pretty cold too.

And I got caught in a rip tide.

No more competing...

I decided sometime last week that I wouldn't be competing anymore. It's just costing me so much to go compete every other weekend. The cost for gas, entry fee's and food, would total almost half an entire paycheck. Oh well, at least I can say that at one point in the competition, I was ranked 1st in the nation :).

On a different note, I really really enjoy learning new songs on the guitar.

Like...I really like it.

Jeff and I have also gone to another boulder I forgot existed. We're working on this super hard slab project with death crimps and horrible feet. I'm looking forward to getting the first ascent though. Not saying that Jeff can't, it's just he's having a hard time sticking the crimps, which are actually my forte...and vital to getting past the crux moves.

OHH! And myself, Jeff, Joel and hopefully Sarah and Graham from Summit Adventures will be joining us next weekend to do some climbing on Fresno Dome! I'm thinking of calling some more people from Emerald Cove to come along so it could be one big party! Ooooo this is so exciting! There's also a sweeeet boulder project I'm working on at the Willow Creek area. Can't really do too much or get too high on it since it's pretty mossy. I'll definitely have to do some cleaning and brushing to get it prep for it's first ascent.

Yay for climbing!

What a great day off.

Watched two movies, ran into town to drop off Marcus for his class...

Hung out and caught up with Ann which was great!!

Had sushi with the White's and Ann.

Took lots of pictures of the leaves turning color.

:)

Oh yeah, took a trip to the hospital too!

Just in case...

So I didn't go to a comp today and won't next Saturday either...which is a huge bummer and might move me down in rankings drastically.

I thought it'd just be sweet if I posted the rankings on here just in case I never see them like this again this season.
ANNNDD I went climbing in Yosemite today with Jeff Wilson and Travis Feaver...I injured my forearm which put me out of commission for the entire day. IT SUCKED!! I only got one climb in! I don't even know how I injured it! :( I hope it heals before the 1st of Nov...it hurts really bad.

Climbing update

As of today, I found out that I am ranked 1st in the state for the Adult category and 3rd in the nation! Not much words can describe how I feel right now. The above picture is of me warming up on a sweet V3 from my first comp.

Everyday I have the blues.

Kudos to anyone that can name the artist of the song titled above! No cheating either please(ie. using Google)

As of right now, I'm in the computer room with Mary to my right looking at some random blog, James on my left playing my newly strung electric Hohner and I'm here typing this as you read!

AND it's raining outside! Or maybe just sprinkling.

But Fall is near...or is it already here?

Okay, I'll promise I'll write something productive next time. Goodnight!

Oh, by the way...

I also just found out that I am ranked 3rd in the state.

I'm going to have such a hard time sleeping tonight. Holy cow.

Strawberry Swing... :)

4th place! I placed 4th! WOW!

I did not expect to do that well at my very first comp, especially with the condition my fingers were in! I am DEFINITELY excited to compete in future comps. I feel strong, I am confident and am SOOO STOKED! HA!
